The area of this new home downstairs was wide open. Customers wanted to utilize the space as a home office area that could be closed off from the rest of the house. Nesco Construction suggested the use of a pair of sliding doors in lieu of hinged doors that would have interfered with the hallway area or inside of the home office area. We had to had a small interior wall on each side of the open area for the size of the sliding doors to work properly.
Customer had a finished opening at the entrance to their den/home office that they wanted to put a pair of doors into. The opening had to be retrofit by bringing in the sides and bringing down the top of the opening; then the new doors could be installed. The new doors look like they were always a part of the home.
Customer has a home office on the ground floor of a two story home. The opening to the office did not have any type of doors on it. When we looked at the project, the customer had already purchased a 48” by 96” pocket door from a popular door company in Utah. The door and pocket door frame had been shipped to the customer and were sitting in the garage. This opening was unique due to the width. Nesco Construction was able to remove the wall at the hallway for the pocket to be installed for the door to slide into. The living room side of the wall was not disturb nor did any electrical outlets or switches end up needing to be moved. Definitely a unique pocket door application!
Customer has a new home that has a den on the ground floor that they wanted to use for a home office due to working from home. There is a finished opening and they wanted to do a modern shaker style door with three equally sized pieces of glass in each door. The glass was clear instead of frosted. Nesco Construction was able to match the casing profile, paint color, and hardware. This makes the new door look like the reset of the doors inside of the house and not an afterthought.
At this home, the owner uses the den as a home office. There were no doors on the entrance to the den. Nesco Construction was able to match the door style in the rest of the house. Customer wanted to paint the new doors themselves. Home office now has doors!
Customer has an older home with a den downstairs that they wanted to use as a guest room. Problem? No doors on the den for privacy. Customer wanted to have doors that had full glass. The full glass that was selected was not available in an 8’ height. Solution? Retrofit the existing opening for the new doors to fit into. Den area now has doors that are fully operational.
We were contacted by this customer and asked if we would be able to install a pair of doors at the den area where there was an existing cased opening. An appointment was made with the customer for us to obtain the information needed in order to provide an estimate for the project. The new pair of doors at the den match the other interior doors inside of the home. We were also able to match the door hardware and paint color so everything matches with the inside of the customer’s home.
This customer is located in Pahrump. They could not find a licensed contractor in Pahrump that would assist them with their project. Nesco Construction was contacted by the customers and advised that they would like to replace the door slab at the pantry as well as have a pair of doors installed on the den in order to provide privacy to anyone that would be in the den. An appointment was scheduled for us to obtain the information needed in order to provide an estimate for the new doors. The pantry door was changed from a production grade hollow core door to a door with a single lite of narrow reed glass. What a huge difference! The den went from being a finished opening to having a pair of doors installed that have a single lite of white laminated glass in each door. This allows light to pass through but, provides privacy also.
Having a home office in a new home the entrance into the office area had only a finished opening. No doors. Nesco Construction was able to specify the interior doors that have 3 panels of frosted glass on each door. Now if you are inside of the home office area, you have privacy with the doors shut as you cannot see through the glass. But, natural light is able to still pass through. If Nesco Construction can help you with a project like this, please contact us to schedule an appointment.
Customer has a home office that had no doors on the entrance to the office. They wanted to be able to have the doors closed but, still be able to see what was going on at the same time. Nesco Construction suggested doors with a single light of clear glass in each door. What a difference! Now the office doors can be closed while business is being conducted during the day and the rest of the house still has the natural light coming in as well!
Customer had an existing den area that had a finished opening without any kind of doors. They wanted to be able to have doors installed into the opening to close off the room from the rest of the house for occasional house guests to have privacy. The opening height would be able to accommodate 8′ tall doors but, the natural light that comes in through the front window would not be seen any longer if the doors were shut. Nesco Construction proposed installing a clear transom above the doors for the light to still come through when the new doors are closed. Now, they have the best of both worlds!

This customer has a new home that had a finished opening at the office/den area. They wanted to have a pair of doors installed into the opening that would match the other doors in their home but, have clear glass in each door. After not being able to find anyone, they chose to use a big box store to assist them with their project. The doors that were installed did not match the other doors in their home. The casing profile was not even close to the existing casing profile. The door hardware was brushed nickel but did not match the lever style in the rest of the house.
Nesco Construction was able to provide a pair of interior doors that matched the rest of the doors in the home. We also matched the casing profile and door hardware so everything matches and looks like the rest of the home. The customers now have the doors that they wanted for their home office in the first place! This customer had an existing den area that they wanted to enclose to make a private room with a closet. There was also an opening that they wanted made into a niche. After meeting with the customers and listening to what they wanted to do, Nesco Construction came up with a plan for the door for the entrance to the room. And also a closet for the room. As you will see from the before and after pictures, everything turned out great! A pot shelf was built on top of the closet so that the very detailed crown molding would not have to be disturbed.
Please contact Nesco Construction to meet with you and look at your project.
This customer has an existing finished opening at the den area of his home. Customer wanted to add privacy to the area from the rest of the house. Nesco Construction met with and provided the idea of having sliding doors that could be hung from a track at the top of the opening and slide back and forth. The two doors on the outside have a track stop to where they will stay in place. The two middle doors slide back and forth for access to the area. Staining and finishing of the doors was not complete before the installation. This is why they are a different color than the rest of the wood shown in the picture.
